Single page:  The Research Graduate Skills Project

The Research Graduate Skills Project

Do you want to identify a range of training and development practices currently being used? Are you a graduate, or overlooking graduates, who want to enhance research and employability skills? If you answered yes to any of these questions... we have developed a website that can help you.

The website is a product of The Research Graduate Skills Project, funded by the Australian Learning and Teaching Centre. The study was instigated due to recent pressure for universities and candidates to simultaneously enhance their academic skills and professional attributes. The site provides useful information for academic staff, graduate students and industry groups.

Read about:
• Words used to describe skill in academic versus professional fields
• Skills wanted by universities and potential employers
• Existing frameworks used to explain skill development
• Alternative frameworks developed by this study
• Skill development program categories identified by this study

This site also enables you to access case studies outlining current approaches to higher degree candidate skill development. The site even has a search database to help you find the skill development programs that interest you.
