This site describes the work of the Centre for Mountain Studies, which aims to carry out research, consulting, teaching, and outreach in relation to sustainable development in mountain regions. Links to news, projects and relevant web sites are included.

This Fire and Ice website is part of Elluminate's Learning Across Borders that promotes live, interactive learning and knowledge sharing between students and teachers around the world. Descriptions of projects in multimedia formats are provided.

This is a final report for a 1999 National Teaching Development Grant funded by the Committee for University Teaching and Staff Development. The report details the key achievements of the project and justifies the selection of GrassGro software as a teaching/learning tool. The evaluation of the project is supported by graphics and tables.
